Billy Purdy secured a dramatic 79th-minute victory for Enfield, maintaining their flawless home record in the Pitching In Isthmian League, North Division on September 30. Enfield rallied from behind to triumph 3-2 against Wroxham at the RDA Stadium. Purdy found the net in a goalmouth scramble from a corner, clinching victory for Bishop’s Stortford’s tenants.

The E’s initially took the lead in spectacular fashion after 16 minutes when Jay Nash unleashed a stunning shot from 40 yards out, catching the goalkeeper off guard. Wroxham managed to equalize just before halftime thanks to Josh Harvey, who pounced on the rebound after Emman Nwosu parried Ryan Miles’ shot. The visitors then surged ahead in the second half, with Jordan King heading in Harley Black’s cross. However, Frankie Franz quickly leveled the score with a curling strike from the edge of the box, setting the stage for Purdy's match-winning heroics.

Enfield's resilience was on display once again on September 27, as they came from behind to defeat Bowers & Pitsea 2-1 at home in the second round of the Velocity Cup. Caleb Steele and Dylan Florence were the goal scorers for the E’s.

Sawbridgeworth Town, who are currently at the bottom of the table, were denied their first win of the season in the Spartan South Midlands League, Premier Division. They drew 1-1 at home against Aylesbury Vale Dynamos on September 30. Torie Ndongala scored a 40th-minute lead for the Robins, but Lewis Workman equalized by converting Tom Cove’s cross, resulting in a stalemate.

Ten-man Stansted faced a tough match against Dunstable Town and suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions, losing 3-0. Joe Sellers-West recorded a hat-trick for the hosts, while Tom Massey was shown a red card for a challenge on Tolu Ikuyinminu just before halftime. Stansted made two new signings ahead of the match, bringing in midfielders Joe Pullen and Correy Davidson.

Takeley experienced their fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions, falling 5-1 to Saffron Walden Town in the Essex Senior League, Premier Division. Although Hodje Almeida-Joaquim managed to equalize for the visitors, goals from Darnell Kithambo, Jack Grosvenor, Ryan Miller, Joni Vukaj, and Olly Miles secured a comfortable victory for the Bloods.
