Sheffield Wednesday Prepares for New Manager as Championship Rivals' Boss Exits

In a recent development in the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday is poised to face a new challenge as another managerial departure shakes up the second tier. Millwall confirmed the end of a four-year era under boss Gary Rowett, who came close to guiding the Lions to the playoffs but fell short of breaking into the top six.

The Owls are scheduled to clash with Millwall at Hillsborough on November 11, and by then, a new manager is expected to be at the helm, replacing Rowett. In his departure statement, Rowett expressed gratitude to the fans, acknowledging the unique atmosphere they create. He stated, "The time just feels right to part ways," reflecting on his successful tenure.

Rowett's assistant, Adam Barrett, will take on an interim role alongside first-team coach Paul Robinson. Millwall has initiated a comprehensive recruitment process to build upon the success overseen by Rowett.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday's new manager, Danny Röhl, is set to conduct his inaugural pre-match press conference. Röhl will lead the Owls as they face Watford in his managerial debut, marking a new chapter for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
